Craving: Cutting Board

A few months back, Steph and I attended a knife skills workshop, and I fell in love with the variety of cutting boards on display. In particular was this dark walnut end-grain board by Nils Wessell of Brooklyn Butcher Blocks fame. It looks like a work of art on its own with the pretty swirls of the wood grain placed in a checkerboard-like pattern. of course it is a beautiful cutting board, but I can imagine it being a beautiful cheeseboard, dotted with little bunches of grapes and berries, little slivers of cheese, and an assortment of thinly sliced charcuterie.

It is available at Williams-Sonoma or you can check out the Brooklyn Butchers Blocks Homepage for additional products.
