It’s been pretty chilly here in NYC, and the rain has put me in the mood for autumn foods. But this goes beyond pumpkin and butternut squash – I’m talking porcini mushrooms, truffles, and of course – wild boar – all elements of a quintessential Tuscan meal during the fall. This is mostly inspired by an episode from Avec Eric, the eponymous cookbook, and my reading of Bill Buford’s Heat. I plan on picking up a couple pounds of wild boar from the Pork Shop (Esposito’s), and turning it into a delicious ragu + tagliatelle dish. So definitely keep an eye out for the blog entry. In the meantime, here are some pics from Avec Eric and around the web for you to drool over. All credit goes to the source listed. Thanks and Enjoy!
